Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best way to adjust my harness?
We recommend adjusting your harness for the first time in a comfortable, preferably non-sexual environment.  It could take a bit of time, and you shouldn’t feel pressured to make it a speedy endeavor.  Loosen the thigh straps first, so you can get the harness into the right position on your hips.  Adjust the waist straps so each of the sides is equally tight, then adjust the thigh straps just tight enough that they don’t pull down the waist-band of the harness.

Now you can trim each of the 4 straps to the length that you’re happy with (usually about 6 inches longer than needed to wrap into either the buckles or D-rings).  From here out, all you have to do is undo or loosen ONE waist strap and step in and out of the harness!

How do I wash my harness?
In washing your harness, we recommend removing any dildos, detachable rings, unsnapping all the snaps, and rinsing your harness under warm water using your hands and a little anti-bacterial soap.  Using abrasive cloths or sponges my affect the surface of the leather.

Drying with a hair-dryer (set on cold) and hanging dry for 4-6 hours (completely unsnapped to prevent rusting metal parts) is the most thorough and recommended method of drying out your harness.  Otherwise, dry the harness with a soft cloth or towel and hang dry.

We also recommend using leather lotion and/or protectant on your harness (both the leather and the metal parts). There are several different kinds on the market, but a good rule of thumb is this: if it's good for your skin, it's good for the leather. Stay away from harmful chemicals or scented products, and be aware that the colors may change on brightly colored harnesses.

Please note:  All leather is porous and can never be completely sterilized.  We recommend using different harnesses for different sexual partners.

Do you make a vegan harness?
Once upon a time, we did make a rubber harness, but we found that the rubber wasn’t a trustworthy material, and we discontinued the product.  We’ve searched for a material thick and sturdy enough to live up to our high standards, but have so far been unsuccessful.  Currently, there doesn’t seem to be a material as thick, soft, and durable as leather, but we keep searching

For now, we do all we can to use the leather we need sparingly.  We only through out very small, unusable pieces, and we try to stick to local tanneries.

What are the metal and rubber parts made of?
The metal parts and front ring that comes with the harness are made of nickel-plated steel.  The rubber ring that comes with the harness is nitrile rubber.

Do you do custom work?
As we are extremely busy with our regular product line and creating new and innovative designs, we rarely have time for custom work, but send us an email.  It never hurts to ask!
